Our kittens are carefully cared for:
- The initial weeks are crucial for newborn kittens. We ensure that the mother is properly feeding and caring for them, using a heat warmer to keep them comfortable and checking on them every few hours. They are also observed via cameras. As they grow, they will be introduced to children and other cats for socialization.
- All kittens will receive deworming and vaccinations before they are placed in their forever homes.
- Before Delivery:
Approximately a week and a half before her due date, the mother will settle into her whelping box and create her nesting area. She receives special care, including calming music and white noise to help her relax. She is fed two nutritious meals daily, including milk, yogurt, and regular kitten food. - Delivery:
During and after whelping, the mother and her kittens are kept warm and comfortable under a heat lamp. In the week following delivery, it is challenging to get the mother out of the box, as she prefers to stay with her kittens. Once they reach weeks 2-3, she is taken outside 2-3 times a day for brief exercise and socialization sessions.
